Day 14  Rapaura Gardens

The day has dawned and it is fine once again. We ventured out for a drive up the coast to Coromandel Town.  Not a lot to see or do there.  After a coffee we back the way we came, the blue sky and sun made for a beautiful drive along the waters edge.  We drove onto Thames, it was Saturday afternoon, so most places were closed.  It’s not a place that really caters for visitors, so our luncheon options were very limited.  We eventually opted for the only choice – fush and chups on the wharf. Not our finest meal, but we did manage to wash it down with a glass of wine.

Back at our lodgings and I took myself off for a walk around the gardens and up to the waterfall.  Had a chat to the resident Moscovy ducks, Queenie and George.

Time for our last dinner before packing up and driving to the Auckland airport tomorrow.
