Farewell to Italy

Milano – Zurich – Cornwall

Today was a 1Metro, 1 Express Train, 2 flights, 1 hire car plus 10,338 steps day.  It was time to farewell Italy and move onto to the UK to meet up with friends for the next part of our travel adventure. The Express Train to Malpensa Airport is a very fast regional train with 3 level carriages directly to the second international airport in Milano. We flew to Zurich in Switzerland where we had a three hour delay before flying onto Newquay Airport in Cornwall, UK. Newquay Airport terminal reminds me very much of the Charters Towers airport building, except Charters Towers has a larger terminal and is not an international airport with flights to Switzerland and Dubai. But we landed safely and after collecting our bags we walked about two kilometers to the rental car parking station. No room in the terminal for car rental offices.

Picked up the vehicle and drove to St Austell in Cornwall for an overnight stay.
