Day 12 – Tuesday 28 November
Today the boys continued to remove soil from the site down to the skip bin. They also dug the holes for the posts of the retaining wall.
The moved the digger down onto the driveway to load the gravel needed to backfill the gap between the new retaining wall and the crumbling timber wall.
The ‘chilli bin’ was changed out today. What an operation!
We also had a visit from a very noisy pheasant coucal.
Day 13 – Wednesday 29th November At 3pm on Tuesday the rain came in and
Day 11 – Monday 27th November Damo and John continued with the retaining wall slotting
Day 10 – Friday 24th November The day of the retaining wall. …and now to
Day 9 – Thursday 23 November The detailed measuring and placement of the steel posts
Day 8 – Wednesday 22nd November The auger was attached to the digger and the
Day 7 – Tuesday 21 November The cloudy days continue with the threat of rain
Day 6 – Monday 20th November Disappointingly work on site was delayed by a week.
Thursday 9th November Today the mighty little digger arrived. Access was difficult. First of all
Wednesday 8th November The demolition continues.
