Central Otago Rail Trail. Clyde – Ophir Day 2

Saturday 28th March 2026

Time to get serious. On our bikes (mind you, not e-bikes like everyone else on the trail) making our way to Ophir via Alexandra, Galloway, Chatto Creek, Omakau and Ophir, some 39kms.

We stayed at Pitches Store. I have never been so glad to take a shower and flop on a couch.  Our meal was delicious, as was the local Pinot Noir.
