St Austell, Cornwall to Weymouth, Dorset

We drove to Weymouth to meet up with John and Maureen Carswell. Over the next few days we are going to explore the Jurassic Coast.

The rock walls are so close to the road I could wind down the window and touch them.
The George Inn, Weymouth for some dinner
The Weymouth Town Bridge. We had to cross it to dine at The George Inn. It’s a twin leaf bascule bridge (a moveable bridge with a counterweight) that lifts to let boats pass between the inner harbour and the marina. During summer it has a regular schedule of every 2 hours.
